In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.

The questline centers on "strange tests and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
